lizing its Energyplus program to provide energy savings for the two
Nexus properties.
Included in the contract are 201 Woolverton Ave., Building
20, a 56,000-square-foot office building adjacent to Route 129
and blocks away from Mercer County Waterfront Park; and 22
Clinton Ave., Plaza 4, an 80,000-square-foot office building
adjacent to Route 1. At both, GSH will decrease utility usage,
funding energy savings projects that are expected to substantially
reduce energy consumption.
Project work on the two buildings includes installation of
Andover building management systems, software design,
implementation and control of variable air volume drives, lighting upgrades and other mechanical improvements. GSH will
also monitor the buildings’ equipment daily. By making an
investment in property equipment to
improve efficiency and achieve energy
savings at no cost to Nexus, the GSH
contract is an investment that is designed
to pay for itself.
“The energy savings that GSH is offering is passed directly to our tenants, which
affects their bottom line tremendously,”
says William Harris, vice president of
operations for Nexus. “It was an easy business decision for us to partner with GSH.”
