Action Emco Distribution has put its
196,600 square feet of distribution space at
5601 West Side Ave. in North Bergen on
the sublease market. Deerfield, IL-based
United Stationers has a major distribution
center in Central Jersey’s Turnpike Exit 8A
submarket and following that company’s
acquisition of Action Emco in late August,
the latter’s W/D and office operations here
have been consolidated to that location.
And Action Emco has hired Jones Lang
LaSalle to find a tenant for the site, which is
being marketed as non-divisible with a
5601 West Side Ave.

Action Emco’s space, which includes
15,000 square feet of office/showroom area,
is part of a 316,000-square-foot industrial complex in an urban enterprise zone. The company ceased operations there in mid-October.

EXPANDS TO 65,000 SF
BBB International has renewed and expanded at Sudler Cos.’ 1100 Towbin Ave.
in Lakewood, occupying all but 1,500
square feet of the 66,000-square-foot, sin-gle-story industrial building. BBB, a warehousing, distribution and reverse logistics
company, uses the site as its headquarters.
Says Jeff Hale, vice president of leasing for
Parsippany-based Sudler Cos., “The additional space they have taken at 1100 Towbin
Ave. will allow them to achieve their growth
goals in both the near- and long-term.”
BBB has increased its occupancy by approximately one-third, filling up the building. The 1,500 square feet that BBB doesn’t
have is currently occupied by Plasplugs
Inc., a toolmaker. Terms of BBB’s re-newal/expansion were not released.
BBB International’s home base is within
Sudler’s Corporate Park, a 250-acre campus with a mix of light industrial, W/D and
office space adding up to a total of about 1. 3
million square feet. The park is situated on
Route 70 at Exit 88 of the Garden State
